Abafil Numismatics

The accessories in this section

Here you will find all the Abafil coin accessories in the catalogue. The table sums up materials and sizes as stated by the manufacturer; where the size is not stated, ask for it from the item page.

Flocked or velvet

Flocking is a velvet-finish plastic: in the standard trays it is red and divided into compartments, so each coin stays in its place and does not rub against the others. Three of the four cases (Diplomat, Miniporter and Minidiplomat) have flocked trays; the Marmotta has 20 velvet trays.

If you need space for a few coins, the Minidiplomat has 3 trays. For many coins the Diplomat or the Marmotta is the better choice. The Miniporter, because of its compact size, is designed both for carrying and for the safe deposit box.

Moneyfloc coin box sizes

The coin box comes in several sizes, according to the diameter of the coin. Some examples from the manufacturer's description:

• 22 mm: sovereign and marengo;
• 27 mm: 1000 Lire;
• 34 mm: Krugerrand;
• 38 mm: 5 Lire of Vittorio Emanuele II;
• 41 mm: one-ounce coins of the United States and Canada;
• 45 mm: medals and large coins.

There is also a model with a frame for a coin accompanied by a certificate.
